Another couple of days more, it's the Chinese New Year and once again, I can take a good rest after the tiring working days. Well, after some considerations and thoughts, I had decided to get a Playstation 3 to test out and play this festive season. Yeah, I know that many of you might thought that I am crazy given the fact that I already have my Micrsoft XBOX 360.
It's true that I already have a very good console but then I haven't really tried before the HD gaming and also enjoying blu-ray movies. This was the reason that made me go for a Playstation 3. After surveying around, the best price to get it is at around RM1200 for the console and it's the new slim PS3 console. For those of you, who had observed or followed Sony's style of marketing, the slimmer version is usually the more cost saving build but this time around, it comes with some benefits. Needless to say, the slimmer version adds to portability but in addition to that, it also contributes to power saving which is a good thing Given the fact that I usually game for long hours, the power saving factor really does come in handy

Since the Playstation 3 is an original (non-cracked) console, it only accepts original blu-ray games and it's sure to costly. In average, new games will cost at around RM 170 - RM 180. Yeah, so no hanky-panky games to simply grab unknown or unworthy titles. Whichever game that you plan to invest in must be a pure solid masterpiece and reviewed with a minimum score of 9.0 / 10 or above Unfortunately, there weren't any game bundles for the Playstation 3 purchase, so I had to choose one game. I had gotten some game recommendations from my friend, KK, who is no stranger to the Playstation 3. With his advise, my final decision was to grab a Playstation exclusive game, titled Uncharted 2.

I had tested the game through my LCD tv and it's really amazing how the graphics were rendered. I would say the smoothness is simply awesome with the HDMI output and it will be even better if the tv is a full HD one. With the console at hand, there's still some stuffs that I need to buy like the HDMI to DVI output cable so that I can play it in my room rather than queuing up for the tv with my parents I guess, it's going to be a whole new experience in gaming especially when I stepped in to the multi player online gaming Hope that it's going to be fun and I will write more as I progress along this new console. Happy Chinese New Year to all of your folks out there. GONG XI FA CHAI !!!!!! |
