Workstation failure [ 12-JUL-2009 ] + view blog details + |
Recently, I had noticed that processing in games were rather slow and I had started to doubt that the driver of the video card could be outdated or needs to be reinstalled. Thus, I had started to perform the reinstallation and under the video driver itself, I had noticed that I prompted out to install some sort of SCSI drivers as well. This was the cause I believe it might had crashed my system. As a result from a restart, my screen resolution was so low and I would have suspected it to be a graphic card failure.
So, I proceeded to grab my old graphic card and placed into place, and booted up. As usual, it went in to windows successfully but then after loading some start-ups, the system threw a blue screen and restarts itself. Tried to troubleshoot further but unfortunately, the power supply is not powering up the system. I am starting to doubt whether was it the lack of power supply which causes the slowness of the graphic processing for my GeForce 9600 FX.... Anyway, there's nothing much I can do until I can power up my system and most probably perform a Windows Re-setup if the blue screen and reboots are still occuring. Anybody having an additional power supply with 450W and above? Appreciate your help ...... I am really pissed off right now. |
